Provides support to the Web Master position in the Information Technology Services Division of the Finance and Information Technology Services Department located at Sammamish City Hall.  Applicant will work in a team setting under the supervision of the Information Systems Manager. The ideal candidate will have a broad interest in Municipal Government and/or web based technology and have experience using mobile applications, web accessibility tools and moving data content to a related web-compatible format.

This position is planned to be a up-to 4-month position that is to coincide with the launch of the City’s redesigned website.  Hours may vary based on workload demands, up to 40 hours per week.  This particular position is also designed to provide entry-level, hands-on work experiences for college students enrolled in technical programs that are interested in a technology related career within the information systems environment.

  • Manage media – experience creating/editing media in Photoshop and Premiere
  • Downloading archived videos
  • Converting videos to YouTube format

This position is responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of the City’s computer and telecommunication networks including software and hardware supporting business applications and linking the City’s various departments and facilities.  This position also provides assistance to City staff and elected officials with technology related troubleshooting and problem analysis.

Sammamish Public Works Department is recruiting one (1) Maintenance Worker II position for the Parks division. Candidates should possess strong customer service ethics, be team-oriented, enjoy working outdoors and be enthusiastic about joining a busy Public Works Department Maintenance and Operations team.  Under supervision of the Infrastructure Maintenance Manager, performs general and specialized grounds maintenance duties at assigned parks and other city infrastructure and facilities. Operates a range of medium and heavy equipment. Provides support for special events. May perform duties of similar complexity in other maintenance areas as required or assigned. Technical support for parks related work tasks is provided by the Parks Maintenance Supervisor

The City currently has a team approach to its maintenance activities.  While this position is primarily active in parks maintenance the overall maintenance priorities will provide the opportunity to participate in Public Works functions.  Provides work direction and train seasonal workers.  Technical and field leadership provided by the Maintenance Leads.

This is a journey level position which will constructs small Parks and Public works capital improvement projects.  Because of the small size of the City Staff, each staff member is expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties, at a high level, as may be required from time to time.
