If you enjoy any combination of making new friends, getting involved in the community, accumulating community service hours, or having a lot of fun then we have the perfect volunteer activity for you!  Join us at the 2018 Sammamish Kids Mud Run, August 18, 8:00 am – 10:00 am in the Lower Commons (behind Sammamish City Hall) for kids ages 4-10

Volunteers are what make the Sammamish Kids Mud Run possible because the run is operated entirely by community volunteers.  No is paid: we do it to build community and develop strong kids!

Ways to Volunteer

  • Friday, August 17: We need about 30 volunteers to set up obstacles the day before the run.
  • Saturday, August 18: We need many volunteers to finalize the course on the morning of the run and about 80 volunteers for two hours to staff the obstacles during the run. Staffing an obstacle is easy and is a great way for parents of runners to see their children in action!

The Mud Run is not timed and is meant to be a fun day with the challenge being for kids to complete as many obstacles as they can.  All proceeds from the run are put back into the community to preserve open space and to develop more event like this in Sammamish.  For more information or to get involved with Sammamish Friends and maybe start your own community event, contact kidsmudrun@sammamishfriends.org or click here.
