A new mixed-use development that will have many of the exciting features that will come to characterize the Sammamish Town Center is planning to complete construction late next spring, including enhanced pedestrian accessibility, new retail options, and terrace space that will be open to the public. Plateau 120, as it is currently known, will host 92 studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments (including 18 affordable units) and 14,245 square feet of commercial space in the northeast part of the Town Center area.
The development will have a number of sustainable features, including green roofs, which are beneficial for stormwater management, and recycled and/or low- volatile organic compounds (VOC) building materials and finishes. In addition, the wetland on the property will be enhanced with additional native plantings to supplement existing vegetation and replant areas disturbed by construction activity. A public trail and bridge crossing will connect the building to 228th Avenue across the wetland to the west. Some of the amenities for building residents will include a common area roof deck, extensive outdoor spaces, and a fitness room.
