Sammamish crews will be installing a 360 degree pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) camera at NE 8th St & 242nd Ave NE (Inglewood Middle School Entrance) on Tuesday June 4.

This is an exciting tool for Sammamish; it will allow monitoring of the intersection, and the traffic leading up to it, at critical times of day.

Over the past year the City has been working with the middle school and Lake Washington School district to improve traffic operation and student crossing at this intersection during school traffic hours. With this tool, the City's traffic engineers will be able to live monitor the traffic, over multiple days and weeks, to help determine where improvements for traffic flow and school zone safety can be made.

Traffic engineering will have access to the live feed at city hall, they will not however, be recording any of the video footage. This will be for live traffic monitoring only.
