Wondering what to do with leftover packing peanuts and paint? Recycle? Trash? Keep storing in the garage?

I certainly have neglected my packaging and have left it to the abyss that is my garage. As "Winter is Coming," it’s time to clear our shelves with leftover styrofoam and latex paint and replace it with some really useful goods to prepare for winter, like flashlights and water!

When you’re cleaning it’s good to know how to dispose of certain products. While it might be common knowledge to know what gets recycled, and what gets thrown in the garbage, I've been surprised to find out about so many niche items that might need to be disposed of in a unique way. For example: Styrofoam and Latex Paint

Fortunately, King County’s website provides a fabulous search feature that allows you to search any item to find out how it should properly be disposed. You can find that here:  https://info.kingcounty.gov/services/recycling-garbage/solid-waste/what-do-i-do-with/Default
