Flooding Updates: Park & Road Closures, Where to Find Sandbags

Release Date: February 06, 2020

Flooding is occurring throughout the region. In Sammamish, be especially aware of these areas:

  • There’s considerable water on the road near Endeavor Elementary on Issaquah Fall City Road. The road is now down to one open lane, with flaggers.
  • The westbound lane of SE 24th is closed with flaggers just east of 236th Ave.
  • 212th Ave. south of Ebright Park has water over both lanes — use caution.
  • Flooding at Beaver Lake Drive south of the preserve. This road is currently open, but please use caution.

Current Sammamish Park closures due to flooding: Beaver Lake ball fields and Dog Park, Evans Creek Preserve

We’ve been getting a lot of calls regarding sandbags. The City of Sammamish does not have sandbags for public distribution, but there are several sandbag distribution sites across King County. Check here for your closest site here: https://www.kingcounty.gov/services/environment/water-and-land/flooding/sandbag-distribution.aspx

Be careful out there!
