Come by to properly dispose of your hard-to-recycle items and shred any documents taking up space in your home! The event takes place Saturday, July 11, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at the Eastside Catholic School in Sammamish. This is a joint event hosted in partnership with the City of Sammamish.

Event Details

• No vehicles can enter after noon.
• Please pack your items so they can be removed quickly to accommodate for all vehicles.
• Items that have fees must be paid for in cash only. Be prepared to pay for these items at the event entrance and with exact change.
• Cardboard will be not accepted. Please recycle cardboard in your curbside bin.

Confidential Document Shredding

• Shredding and recycling of confidential paper materials.
• Limit of 4 file-size boxes or 5 bags per vehicle.

Items To Be Collected:

• Refrigerators and Freezers ($35 for each, cash only)
  • Refrigerators and freezers cannot be sealed or contain food.
• Electronics & Computer Equipment
  • DVD players, VCRs, stereo equipment, printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, and cellular phones.
  • Computers, computer monitors, laptops, mice, keyboards, tablets, and e-readers.
  • $5 cash only charge for each printer and copier.
  • Please remember to remove all personal information from electronic devices prior to collection.

• Television Sets
  • TV sets encased in plastic, wood console, wood, and big screen TVs accepted.

• Air Conditioners ($35 for each, cash only)
• Appliances and Scrap Metal
  • Auto parts, engines, and gas lawnmowers (drained of oil and gasoline). 
  • Metal lawn chairs.
  • Stoves, microwaves, dishwashers, and other kitchen appliances.
  • Washers and dryers.
  • Barbeques.
  • Iron, steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and other ferrous and nonferrous metals.
  • $5 per water heater with insulation coating. Cash only.
  • Not accepted:
    • Light fixture ballasts and sealed drums will not be accepted.
    • Metals that are insulated, rubber, or oil-coated metals and that previously or currently contain gas, oil, chemical, paint, or hazardous materials will not be accepted.
