  • Scope: Analysis and selection of a new discharge location for an existing stormwater outfall.

Background: Due to a slope failure affecting the existing stormwater outfall from facility D90112, the City of Sammamish is exploring alternative discharge locations to convey stormwater into the City's right-of-way. The project aims to identify and select a preferred solution for relocating the outfall.

Scope of Work:

  1. Project Management:

    • Administrative and coordination activities, including monthly invoice preparation and maintaining the project schedule.
    • Status reports and financial summaries are delivered monthly.
  2. Data Gathering and Alternatives Analysis:

    • Initial tasks involve extensive data gathering, including desktop reviews and on-site evaluations.
    • Alternatives can be developed through workshops with City staff, leading to selecting a preferred alternative.

Deliverables:

  • Monthly status reports and invoices.
  • Technical appendices and memos detailing findings from site visits and hydrologic analyses.
  • Alternatives Analysis Matrix and Workshop Meeting Minutes.

Progress & Milestones:

  • A Kick-Off meeting and bi-weekly coordination calls are established to ensure alignment and discuss project progress.
  • An Alternative Development Workshop has been scheduled to discuss preliminary findings and develop evaluation criteria for alternatives.

Current Status:

  • The project is ongoing, with initial data gathering completed. The consultant is currently developing and evaluating alternatives.
  • The upcoming tasks involve detailed analysis and consultation workshops to finalize the selection of the preferred alternative.

This project is crucial for mitigating the impact of slope failure and ensuring sustainable stormwater management in the affected areas. The consultant and the City are actively working to maintain the timeline and ensure all deliverables are met within the projected four-month duration.
