Two Upcoming King County Road Projects will Affect Sammamish Commutes

Release Date: August 02, 2019

King County Road Services to Begin Striping in Sammamish

The City of Sammamish just received word from King County Road Services that they will be starting citywide striping tonight.

The schedule for nighttime striping goes from 8 p.m. through 4 a.m.

We don’t have a map since the plan is that they re-stripe all citywide striping. The only areas they will avoid are where pavement overlay projects or big projects will take place.

But wait...there's more!

King County Road Services will have Lane Restrictions along Sahalee Way NE from Aug. 12-16

King County had upcoming lane restrictions planned at locations near the cities of Redmond and Sammamish in unincorporated King County for guardrail maintenance work.

Locations include:

  • Sahalee Way NE, from State Route 202 to the Sammamish city limits.
  • Avondale Road NE from NE 136th Street to NE 116th Street

The work will require daily lane restrictions Monday, August 12, to Friday, August 16, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Due to the nature of the work, specific locations and actual work day, time and duration may vary.

During lane restrictions, motorists will be flagged through work zones.

Expect Delays; plan alternate routes, if possible
