The mission of the Sammamish Police Department is to provide quality, professional law enforcement services to improve public safety within our city.

Since its incorporation in 1999, Sammamish has contracted law enforcement services from the KCSO.

Sammamish Police Officers are King County Sheriff’s Office Deputies who are dedicated to our community by contract.

Sammamish has been given the distinction by safewise of being the Safest City in Washington for 2022. This is the second year in a row.

In January 30, 2023,  according to a report from Moneygeek.com Sammamish is ranked 13th safest small cities in the county

The Sammamish Police Department is located on the first floor of City Hall.

To report a police matter such as a parking/traffic complaint or any non-emergency incident, please contact our 24-hour communications center. The phone number is (206) 296-3311. Another option is to report online for non-emergent crimes
