UPDATE: Sammamish City Manager Finalists Announced

Release Date: March 13, 2019

The Sammamish City Council had identified six finalists in the search for a new city manager; one finalist, Regan Bolli, withdrew on March 13, so now there are five candidates remaining.

Current Interim City Manager Larry Patterson is leaving after running the day-to-day operations in the city on an interim basis for the past six months.

Sammamish contracted with the Colin Baenziger & Associates to conduct a nationwide candidate search, which yielded 45 applicants. The City Council had a lengthy executive session on Monday, March 4, to review applications and select the finalists.

The finalists are listed below in alphabetical order; please click on their name to see candidate-supplied bios.

All five of the finalists are scheduled to arrive in the area on Thursday, March 14, to begin a weekend of meetings and interviews with Council members and staff.

On Friday, March 15, they will tour the city on foot and by bus in the morning, then meet with senior staff members in the afternoon. There will also be a public reception at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, to give interested members of the public an opportunity to meet the finalists.

On Saturday each the five will have one-on-one meetings with the City Councilors; on Sunday they will do panel interviews with the full Council. The full Council interviews will be open to the public and recorded.

Linnaea Jablonski, Sammamish’s Human Resources Director, said the city hopes to conclude the hiring by the end of the month.
