City of Sammamish - COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Information & Resources
Current Situation as of 2/15:
Issaquah Fall City Road between Duthie Hill Rd and SE 42nd St in front of Endeavor Elementary School is now open. Issaquah Fall City Road between Duthie Hill Rd and 274th Ave SE in King County remains closed. The County is continuing to pump the water off of their roadway. Please see the County’s road closures map for the latest information regarding the status of their road.
See detour map above (updated 2/12). For more background on the flooding and closure, see the Issaquah-Fall City Road Closure FAQs.
The road closures on Issaquah-Fall City Road, both in the City of Sammamish and in unincorporated King County, remain as follows:
Our crews were able to begin pumping the flooded area over Issaquah-Fall City Road last night and into this morning, filling the retention ponds at Endeavour Elementary. As of now, the water levels have been significantly reduced, but there is still too much water over the roadway to reopen.
We hope that King County will be able to start pumping their portion of the roadway soon. Because the floodwater in their portion of the road flows downwards into the Sammamish portion of Issaquah-Fall City Road, King County’s action will greatly improve our road conditions. We expect to be able to reopen once King County has completed their pumping and the road is clear of (or has very little) standing water. Because this area is surrounded by wetlands and has unique topographical challenges, water removal or drainage continues to be a complicated task, and we don't have a firm estimate on when the job will be complete.
