Snow plowing in Sammamish is managed through a priority system. The Snow & Ice Route Map can be found here.  If/when there is additional snow, crews will start over again with priority routes 1 and 2 and then move on to route 3 and the neighborhoods. To learn more about how the City of Sammamish manages snow plowing go to the Snow & Ice Event FAQs page.

Here’s how to get information when significant storms hit our area:

  • Updates will be posted here on the City's website as well as Facebook and Twitter.
  • Sign up for emergency email and text alerts from the City of Sammamish here.
  • Know the City of Sammamish Snow and Ice Maintenance Routes for snow plowing and anti-icer application. The Snow & Ice Route Map can be found here.
  • For up-to-date weather alerts, advisories, and warnings, visit the National Weather Service
  • For power outages, view the outage map and report outages on Puget Sound Energy’s website.
  • Service alerts about solid waste collection (garbage, recycling, and yard waste) can be found on the Republic Services website.
  • Visit MetroWinter.com for information about transit operations when it snows in Metro’s service area. 
  • Please use My Sammamish to report trees across roads and any damage or non-emergency issues. For emergencies, please call 911.
