Cone Zone 7/3: Sammamish Traffic Updates

Stormwater Pipe Inspection

Crews will inspect and clean stormwater pipes at the following locations:

-Issaquah Fall City Rd by Endeavour Elementary School

-Issaquah Pine Lake Road and 238th Way SE

-Klahanie Blvd & 242nd Ave SE

-Issaquah Pine Lake Road and SE 35th CT

-Issaquah Pine Lake Road and 228th St, SE 32nd St and 247th Ave SE

Work will be done July 17-July 18. Traffic disruptions will be minimal, with only occasional single-lane closures expected. Appropriate signage and traffic control measures will be in place to ensure the safety of both workers and the public.

 

Louis Thompson Tightline Project

There will be an upcoming temporary road closure to through-traffic on Louis Thompson Road between the hours of 9pm and 6am for night work from July 7 - July 11. Comcast will be relocating overhead fiber optic lines. Flaggers will be directing traffic and providing local access to residents. Road signs will direct through-traffic to use alternate routes.

2025 Pavement Overlays

Lakeside Industries will be grinding the existing asphalt, placing new asphalt, and adjusting utilities in the roadway at West/East Beaver Lake Drive SE, from SE 24th Street to SE 22nd Place. The work will occur from June 30-July31, from about 7am to 4pm.

The right travel lane will be temporarily closed throughout most working hours.  Flaggers will be alternating the traffic during lane closures. 

 

2025 2025 ADA Barrier Removals

The following sites may experience the right travel lane temporarily closed during working hours (7am-5pm) from July 14th through August 22nd.   Traffic control will be provided.

-Site A:  Replacement of damaged sidewalk panels at 16 locations

    228th Avenue SE/NE, between SE 4th Street and NE 8th Street (both sides of street)

-Site B:  Replacement of pedestrian curb ramps at the two intersections

    SE Klahanie Blvd, at the 256th Avenue SE & SE 39th Way intersections

 

Ziply Fiber Restoration Work

The Ziply permits are currently suspended by the City of Sammamish. Ziply is still allowed to perform restoration work associated with previous construction activities. Restoration activities include soft surface replacement, asphalt patching, and sidewalk replacement.
