Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime celestial experience as the City of Sammamish partners with King County Libraries to host a Solar Eclipse Viewing event!
On Saturday, October 14th, from 8:00 am to 10:30 am, a rare solar eclipse will grace our skies, casting a shadow over the Earth, and we invite you to witness this awe-inspiring spectacle with us.
The event will take place on the Plaza at Upper Sammamish Commons, between the Library and City Hall. The Library will provide safe, specially-designed solar viewing glasses and telescopes, allowing you to observe this breathtaking phenomenon in all its glory. Knowledgeable experts will be on hand to answer questions and provide fascinating insights into the science behind eclipses.

We are hosting this in partnership with the King County Library system. They Library will be supplying viewing glasses. This event is taking place on the Plaza. We will have a kids activity and it is free and open to all.
Please note this is a weather dependent event, we need clear skies to view the solar eclipse!

Metro’s Metro Flex program allows community members to ride anywhere in their service area for the same cost as a bus trip. Pick-up and drop-off operates on-demand. Rides can be requested via phone or new app "Metro Flex." Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hours of operation are 7 am – 6 pm on weekdays, and Saturdays from 9 am – 6 pm. Metro Flex does not follow a fixed route. Instead, it picks up passengers from their location and drops them off at their destination within a specified service area.
