Update on Ziply Fiber Right-of-Way Permits

Current Work

Ziply is currently completing potholing along 228th Avenue to provide underground utility information required for the ROW permit to install the fiber network. The purpose of potholing is to accurately identify underground utility locations and minimize the risk of damage when Ziply resumes work. Once potholing is completed, Ziply will revise its plans and submit them to the City for review and permit re-issuance. Any necessary maintenance and emergency repair work is allowed to proceed during this time.

Ziply is also continuing restoration work reported through MySammamish, and the number of new restoration items is decreasing.

Any construction or ROW work that may impact traffic is included on the Sammamish Cone Zone webpage.

What to Expect Moving Forward

As the City begins issuing permits, the community can expect:

  • Increased inspections of active crews and sites to provide stronger oversight and quicker response to community concerns.
  • Enhanced communication with City staff throughout the project.
  • Improved notifications, including updated door hanger language with clearer project details and resources for residents.
  • Staffed hotline — Ziply’s 1-855-950-0779 number will be staffed during business hours.

Questions or Concerns?
