Low Income Household Utility Tax Relief
The City of Sammamish is offering a flat annual rebate to qualifying low income households, $200 for 2026.
The rebate is for a 12-month period where the applicant resided and paid utility taxes in the City, therefore January through December 2026 will be the first 12-month period eligible for the rebate. The rebate application form will be available on the City site by the end of 2026, and qualifying households may submit applications beginning January 2027.
To qualify for the rebate a household will have owned or rented, and been a full-time occupant, of a residence within City limits for the 12-month period. They will have paid utility service charges, either directly or as part of a rental agreement. Finally, they will be a participant of Puget Sound Energy Home Energy Lifeline Program (PSE HELP) and/or the King County Property Tax Exemptions Program for Seniors and Persons with Disabilities.
