If you’re passionate about trees in Sammamish, the City highly encourages you to attend the Urban Forest Management Plan (UFMP) Open House on Wednesday, May 30, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber.
The UFMP Open House is a great opportunity for you to chat about the Urban Forest Management Plan with the City’s expert urban forestry consultants, learn about the City’s canopy cover study, and share your opinion regarding the future of Sammamish’s urban forest. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view the finalists and vote for the winner of the #MySammamishForest Photo Contest. The Open House will be happening concurrently with the Sammamish Farmers’ Market, giving attendees the opportunity to enjoy the market and participate in shaping the future of the City’s urban forests all in the same evening.
The Urban Forest Management Plan (UFMP) is a community-wide planning process which is being led jointly by consultant Davey Resource Group and City staff. The UFMP will set the City's priorities for the management, protection, and promotion of the urban forest.
