Cone Zone 6/5/2026: Sammamish Traffic Updates

Stormwater Pipe CCTV Inspection
- When: June 8-12, 2026
- Work Location: Northeast 8th Street, 207th Avenue Northeast, Northeast 1st Street, 221st Avenue Northeast, Southeast 33rd Street, 239th Avenue Southeast
- Traffic Impacts: Traffic disruptions will be minimal, with only occasional single-lane closures expected. Appropriate signage and traffic control measures will be in place.
- The project will involve pipe inspections using CCTV technology, along with cleaning and vactoring services as needed. Some pipes may require jetting to remove debris or obstructions.
King County Wastewater Treatment Division Survey Work
- When: June 8- June 13, 2026: 7:00am – 3:30pm (Saturday work)
- Work Location: 2028 East lake Sammamish Parkway Northeast and heading to the tennis court area, the south end of the extra area.
- Traffic Impacts: Monday-Friday - None. Surveyors will be staged on shoulders of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Northeast
- Saturday work will include As-builts and Centerline monuments with Traffic Control present.
- True North will be surveying and marking utilities.
George Davis Creek Fish Passage Project
- When: May 28th-June 22nd
- Work Location: East Lake Sammamish Parkway – south of Northeast 7th Court and possibly East Lake Sammamish Shore Lane
- Traffic Impacts: Traffic control will be present. Drivers should expect intermittent single-lane closures on East Lake Sammamish Parkway.
- Construction begins June 1, most activity focused on property line between the trail and Lake Sammamish.
- King County trail closes June 1.
Ziply Fiber Install
- When: June 15-June 17, Monday-Friday, 9:30am-3:30pm
- Work Location: 228th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 11th Place to north of Northeast 12th Place
- Traffic Impacts: Lane shift on north bound lane on 228th
- Ziply Fiber is installing a new fiber network.
Northeast Sewer and Water District - Grind and Overlay
- When: June 10-17, 2026 – 7:00am – 5pm
- Work Location: Northeast 12th Place, Northeast 14th Drive and side streets to the north of these.
- Traffic Impacts: Traffic control will be present.
Louis Thompson Road Final Pavement Overlay
- When: Beginning June 1, 2026
- Work Location: Louis Thompson Road
- Traffic Impacts: During paving operations:
- Traffic will be controlled by flaggers with alternating single-lane traffic through the work zone.
- Priority will be given to school buses and students accessing bus stops.
- Residential side streets are expected to remain open, with temporary single-lane closures limiting work to approximately half of an intersection at a time to help maintain local access.
- Refuse collection and mail delivery are expected to experience only minor disruptions.
Following paving, the contractor will complete remaining work activities including guardrail installation, final striping, and project cleanup.
Paving is expected to take approximately three days, beginning near East Lake Sammamish Parkway and progressing uphill in stages toward 210th Place Southeast by the third day.
Prior to paving, residents will see pavement grinding and milling operations beginning May 27 to prepare the roadway surface for final paving.
