Council provides direction for staff to pursue new website host
Earlier this week, the City shared updates on new federal digital accessibility requirements taking effect April 24. These changes will shape how we communicate online moving forward.
The City of Sammamish is committed to ensuring all residents—including those with disabilities—can access our digital services. City Council has directed staff to pursue a new, more accessible website to improve navigation and better meet accessibility standards.
We’re also expanding captioning on YouTube and Zoom, adding tools for accessible documents, and will comply with regulations regarding the sharing of social media content.
Digital accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we’re committed to continuous improvement.
