The City of Sammamish’s general fund operating budget is becoming structurally unbalanced as revenues are growing more slowly than the cost of providing services. Beginning around 2029, expenses are expected to exceed ongoing revenues, requiring the City to consider increasing funding, reducing services, or a combination of both to remain financially sustainable. Capital projects, such as roads, stormwater, and parks, are funded separately and do not contribute to this imbalance.
