Small storm creates road closure

The City experienced another storm overnight–not a bomb cyclone. There is a tree down on the power lines, blocking East Beaver Lake Drive at Southeast 31st Place. A detour has been set up. A few neighborhoods do not have power, including Klahanie and Inglewood; please check with PSE for power updates. So far, this is a smaller event than the November bomb cyclone.

🚦Power outages impact traffic lights. Please remember if traffic lights are flashing to treat the intersection as an all-way stop. We have placed generators at many of the impacted traffic lights but these can only offer power for so long.

🛜 If telecommunication lines are impacted, please remember it is on those companies to fix (Ex. Xfinity) please contact your internet provider for details if you are experiencing issues.

If anyone needs a place to warm up, the library, YMCA and City Hall are open.
