Community Development

Department of Community Development Deputy Director

Community and stakeholder feedback is essential for this project, and there are several ways to share your input.

Attend the Community Events

There are two community events planned to collect feedback on the following:

  • June 11, 2025 Open House: The draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS), the draft Town Center Plan Amendments, and How to Provide Comments on the Record
  • June 25, 2025 Open House: The draft Town Center Zoning and Development Regulations

Provide Public Comment

The Planning Commission and City Council will review the following project materials for their feedback and direction:

  • The SEIS scope and alternatives
  • The draft SEIS
  • The amendments to the Town Center Subarea Plan
  • The amendments to the Town Center Zoning & Development Regulations

Visit Upcoming Meetings to see planned meeting dates and topics. Then,  utilize public comment at each meeting to share your input on the materials with the Planning Commission and City Council.

Each agenda, typically published several days before each meeting, includes deadlines and directions for providing verbal and written public comments.

Comment on the Draft SEIS

The SEIS will be a decision-making tool for the City Council as they consider the best ways to proceed with updates to the Town Center.

Building on the scope and alternatives that the City Council will select, the draft SEIS analyzes the anticipated impacts on the areas identified in the scope and provides ways to reduce or eliminate those impacts and the associated costs.

The draft SEIS is currently being finalized and is anticipated to be released on June 9, 2025. The day it is released, a notice will go out, starting a  30-day comment period, which is anticipated to be June 9-July 9, 2025.

During the comment period, the City will seek feedback to determine whether any impacts have been missed or if any further analysis is required as part of the SEIS.

While the notice will be distributed through various channels, we recommend you sign up for project updates to be notified when it is posted to the City website.
