November 7, 2026 Tree Giveaway
Plant a Free Tree for a Greener Future
Sammamish envisions a thriving urban forest, strengthening our community’s resilience for generations to come. A diverse and cared-for tree canopy will enhance community livability, promote health and well-being, support wildlife habitat, and contribute to a sustainable future for all.
The 2026 Tree Giveaway program is a collaboration between the City of Sammamish and City of Issaquah, and external partner 300 Trees.
Who Can Participate
The Tree Giveaway Program is open to all City of Sammamish residents, groups, and organizations such as schools, faith organizations, non-profits, HOA’s, and small businesses under 25 employees within the City limits.
In 2026, the City of Issaquah and the City of Sammamish are hosting a joint giveaway event. If you are a City of Issaquah resident, please visit the City of Issaquah Tree Giveaway Webpage. Additional eligibility requirements include:
- Review this map to ensure your property is within Sammamish City limits.
- You must plant your trees in Sammamish.
- Trees may not be used to satisfy a building or landscaping permit.
Whether you’re a homeowner or renter, you’re invited to join us in growing Sammamish's tree canopy. If you are a renter, ask your landlord/property owner to sign the Tree Planting Permission Form and bring a completed, printed copy with you to the tree giveaway as proof of permission to plant.
If you are part of an HOA, please review your HOA’s rules and processes for planting new trees. Some HOAs will require permission prior to planting trees on your property.
