City of Sammamish - COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Information & Resources
Our volunteer program is designed to bring volunteers and staff together to assure the success of City programs and services. Volunteers provide valuable support and assistance to the public in a variety of programs and services throughout many City Departments. Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities are designed to best accommodate individuals, families and small groups. If your organization would like to volunteer as a group, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 425-295-0556 to set up a group volunteer opportunity.
There are a variety of volunteer projects happening in parks around Sammamish. Tasks can include native plantings, trail building, wetland and stream restoration, invasive management and storm cleanup.
Sammamish Walks is seeking volunteers/interns to help with Saturday morning walks during the summer. If you're interested in the outdoors and would like to help, please contact email@example.com.
STORM DRAIN MARKING PROGRAM
Volunteers are needed to place "Only Rain Down the Drain" signs near street storm drains as a course of action that alerts citizens of the connection between their yards and nearby waterways. This is a great activity for any volunteer organization including: schools, scouts, churches, home owners groups and service organizations (e.g. Kiwanis). For more information about the program, email Lisa Werre or call 425-295-0573.
Not seeing a volunteer event that works for you? Consider sign up for email alerts to stay informed about new volunteer opportunities. There are numerous local community organizations that offer volunteer opportunities in and around Sammamish.
