Town Center Parking

Parking for existing uses in the Town Center Plan is provided by off-street parking lots and individual garages.  The increase in development intensity intended by Town Center Plan updates will require substantial parking.

Much of the future parking in Town Center will need to be within and underneath structures. While this is more expensive, it provides for more compact, walkable development, and the reduced impervious areas provide substantial environmental benefits. Furthermore, structured parking provides greater opportunity for broadening the city’s future electric vehicle charging network. The new roadways needed for the Town Center’s development also provide a good opportunity for on-street parking.
