SE 6th Street Improvements - Phase A
Summary
The SE 6th Street Improvements - Phase A Project will consist of the construction of a new public street that will run along the north end of Sammamish Commons Park, between 222nd Place SE and 224th Avenue SE. The SE 6th Street Improvements Project, which is part of the City’s transportation and stormwater capital improvement plans, will upgrade an existing road and add sidewalk, community parking, trees, lighting, and new stormwater infrastructure. The project also plans to the retain existing rain gardens, reduce impervious surface, and create a connection for the community to the Lower Sammamish Commons Park.
The northern half of the street was designed and constructed by private developers, and is mostly complete. The City will manage the design and construction of the southern half of the street. Design is planned to be completed in June 2026 and construction is planned to be completed in November 2026.
This project is within the new Sammamish Town Center development. The Town Center will consist of eight (8) private projects located within the heart of the City. These projects will provide commercial and retail space, affordable housing units, community spaces, and transportation infrastructure.
