History

Pine Lake Park was originally a private resort which opened in the 1910s. The resort was purchased in 1932 and renamed French's LaPine Resort but was more commonly known at Pine Lake Resort. King County purchased the property for a public park in the mid-1960s. Pine Lake Park was transferred to the City of Sammamish when the city incorporated in 1999.
