A 25-acre park located in the middle of Sammamish with an upper and lower section connected by an accessible trail. The Commons is home to a skate park, community garden, spray park, and more.

Please note: Due to 6th street construction beginning on Tuesday, September 8, access to the parking lot and walking paths to the Lower Commons will be limited or interrupted. This affects access to the Community Garden, Splash Park, and Picnic Shelters. Members of the public may park at the Upper Commons parking lot or utilize other entrances to access the Lower Commons. 

Construction is expected to last into mid-October. See 6th Street Improvements page for more details.

The Lower Commons features:

  • Community Garden and Native Plant Garden
  • Looped trail, shelters, playground, and grassy areas
  • Spray park
    • Memorial Day thru Labor Day (Season closing September 3, 2026 due to 6th street construction)
    • Approximately 9:15 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Park Hours

6:30 am - Dusk from April - September
7:30 am - Dusk from October - March

Parking lot gates are open from 8am to 30 minutes after sunset.
